These terms govern your use of the website at laptoprepairspecialists.com and any services you book through it. Throughout, “we” / “our” / “the Company” means Laptop Repair Specialists Ltd. “You” / “your” / “the customer” means anyone using the website or buying a service or product from us.
By using the site or booking a repair, build, or refurbished device with us, you agree to these terms. They sit alongside our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
1. About us

2. Repair services
Quotes and approvals
Every repair starts with a free written diagnostic. We send you a fixed-price quote within 24 hours of receiving the device. No work is carried out until you reply approving the quote. If you decline the quote there is no fee — we ship the device back free.
No fix, no fee
If we accept a job and can’t complete the agreed repair, you owe nothing. This applies to the labour and the diagnostic. It does not include parts already fitted at your express written approval that turn out to be faulty — those we’ll replace under our 12-month parts warranty.
Turnaround
Most repairs leave the bench within 24–72 hours of approval. Board-level work, water damage, and parts we have to order can take longer. We’ll give you a realistic estimate with the quote and update you if anything changes.
Warranty
Every paid repair carries a 12-month warranty covering the part we replaced and the labour to refit it. Warranty doesn’t cover new accidental damage, liquid spills, drops, or unauthorised tampering after we’ve returned the device. To claim, contact us and we’ll cover return shipping.
Unclaimed devices
If a device is left with us after a job is complete and we can’t reach you for 90 days despite reasonable contact attempts, we reserve the right to dispose of or recycle it. We always exhaust contact options before doing so.
3. Custom PC builds
Custom builds are quoted via the live configurator on the site. Prices include parts, build labour, stress-testing, packaging, and free DPD shipping in mainland UK.
Build lead time is typically 7–10 working days from payment, longer for parts on backorder. Each machine is bench-tested before it leaves us. Component warranties are passed through from the manufacturer (typically 1–5 years). Our build labour carries a 12-month warranty.
4. Refurbished devices
Refurbished devices are graded Excellent, Good, or Okay based on cosmetic condition and battery health, as described on each product page. All refurbished devices are tested twice, factory-reset, and ship with a 12-month return-to-base warranty.
You have 14 days from delivery to return a refurbished device for a full refund under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, provided it’s returned in the condition it was sent.
5. Payment
We accept the major credit and debit cards through our payment provider. Prices on the site are in GBP and include VAT where applicable. Payment is taken in full at the time of order for refurbished devices and custom builds; for repairs, payment is taken on completion before the device is returned.
6. Delivery and collection
Repair collections within Greater London are free and same-day. Repairs from outside London ship via DPD on a free label we email you within 24 hours of booking. Refurbished devices and custom builds ship with free DPD next-day insured delivery in mainland UK. Highlands and islands may take longer; we’ll always confirm before charging.
7. Your responsibilities
Before sending a device:
- Back up your data where possible — we’ll mirror readable drives before any invasive work but cannot guarantee data on a failing drive.
- Remove SIM cards, memory cards, accessories, and personal items.
- Disable Find My / Activation Lock if you’re not the original purchaser, or expect us to ask for proof of ownership before we can complete the repair.
- Disclose any prior repair attempts, liquid contact, or drops — we’d rather know upfront.
8. Use of the website
The site, its content, design, and code are owned by Laptop Repair Specialists Ltd. You may use it for personal browsing and to book our services. You may not republish, sell, or redistribute the content. You may link to any of our pages without prior approval, provided the link isn’t deceptive or implied as endorsement.
9. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any single repair, build, or refurbished device is limited to the amount you paid us for that item. We don’t exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or anything else where exclusion would be unlawful. We are not liable for data loss, lost business, or consequential losses.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
11. Changes to these terms
We may amend these terms occasionally. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
