Q.06 Is there really no fee if you can’t fix my Portege X30? +
Correct — £0. No diagnostic fee, no inspection fee, no return-shipping fee. We’ve honoured this on 14,000+ repairs since 2004. The handful of jobs we can’t fix are usually catastrophic motherboard damage where component-level rework would cost more than a refurbished replacement; in that case we return the device free and recommend a refurb if relevant.
Q.07 Will my data be safe during the repair? +
Yes. We don’t boot a customer device past the lock screen unless it’s strictly required (e.g. touchscreen calibration after a screen swap).
